Who is WHYRHYME?
Hailing from Orlando, FL, WhyRhyme is a hip hop trio that channels the raw, unfiltered spirit of early '90s underground rap while weaving in a genuinely weird, occult atmosphere that feels like a late-night ritual caught on dusty cassette tape.
The group brings together three powerful forces:
Jay Spliff — South Miami native, the sonic architect who builds the foundation with thick, head-nodding boom-bap beats laced with eerie samples.
El Gato Nosferatu (aka Feel) — Broward County representative, delivering sharp, cinematic verses alongside leading the haunting visual art direction.
DJ CUTLOOSE — New York-raised turntable wizard, adding gritty scratches, remixes, and that authentic East Coast chaos to every track and live set.
Together they fuse classic golden-era production mysticism with dark, supernatural vibes. The result? Tracks that are simultaneously nostalgic, haunting, and hypnotic — boom-bap drums carrying incantations through Florida's humid shadows.
